Amfibus mempunyai kapasitas yang mampu memuat 50 penumpang dengan kecepatan 8 knot diatas air dan 60mph didarat. Tujuan diberlakukannya kendaraan umum ini untuk mengatasi permasalahan transportasi yang terjadi karena makin tingginya penggunaan kapal ferry oleh masyarakat Inggris.
