Sebuah kemajuan teknologi berpengaruh bagi dunia kedokteran. Seseorang yang sudah kehilangan penglihatannya karena kecelakaan kerja 12 tahun yang lalu, akhirnya dapat melihat wajah istrinya untuk pertama kali setelah, setelah salah satu gigi-nya dipindahkan/dicangkok ke dalam mata untuk mengembalikan penglihatan.

Martin Jones, 42 Tahun, seorang pekerja bangunan yang mengalami kebutaan 12 tahun lalu akibat ledakan tabung alumunium cair yang mengenai wajahnya. Dia menikahi istrinya Gill Jones,50 Tahun, tapi belum pernah dia melihat wajah istrinya yang dinikahi empat tahun lalu. Setelah Operasi Pemindahan Gigi ke dalam mata, akhirnya dia bisa melihat wajah sang istri tercinta. Operasi dilakukan oleh Dr. Christopher Lui, yang memperkenalkan jenis operasi ini.
Prosedur operasi ini dimulai dengan pemindahan gigi taring Martin Jones dan dikonversi menjadi sebuah penahan untuk lensa optical khusus dengan cara menggali lubang ke dalam gigi tersebut. Kemudian gigi tersebut dimasukkan kedalam pipi Martin Jones selama tiga bulan agar dapat tumbuh urat daging dan pembuluh darah. Setelah siap, maka yang terakhir dilakukan adalah penanaman gigi tersebut ke dalam mata kanan Martin Jones. Dalam jangka 2 minggu setelah operasi, akhirnya Martin Jones memperoleh penglihatannya lagi.
Luar biasa, ini merupakan operasi yang sangat hebat berkat kemajuan teknologi !!

Martin Jones, 42, a builder who lost his sight 12 years ago after a tub of white hot aluminium exploded in his face. He married his wife Gill Jones, 50, But he never see his wife face after 4 years marriage. After this surgery, he can see his lovely wife face. This surgery held by Dr. Christopher Lui who introduces the revolutionary tooth transplant.
Procedure of this rare surgery is one of the canine teeth of Martin Jones removed and converted into a holder for a special optical lens by drilling a hole in it. The tooth was then inserted into his cheek for three months to enable it to grow new tissue and blood vessels. Then finally came to the delicate operation to insert the tooth, complete with the fitted lens into Mr. Jones' right eyeball.
